Privacy Policy

Shoprelay ("we", "us") provides an application that connects your Shopify store to external systems, such as an ERP package, to synchronize products, inventory, customers and orders, for example. This privacy policy explains what data we process when you install and use our application, why we do so, and what rights you have.

Who we are

Shoprelay is a service provided by Made by Mouses, established at Westerlaan 129 A, 8011 CA Zwolle, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 71981462. Made by Mouses is the data controller for the personal data processed through Shoprelay.

What data we collect

When you install and use Shoprelay, we may receive the following data from Shopify:

• Store data: store name, domain and settings of your Shopify store.
• Product data: products, variants, inventory and prices.
• Order data: orders, order lines and shipping information.
• Customer data: name, email address, address details and phone number, to the extent necessary to process and synchronize orders with the connected system.
• Account details of the store administrator who installs and configures the app.

How we use this data

We use this data exclusively to provide the app's functionality, including:

• Synchronizing products, inventory and orders between Shopify and the connected ERP system.
• Displaying order and product overviews within the application.
• Maintaining the connection between your Shopify store and external systems (such as OAuth authentication).
• Resolving technical issues and providing support.

We do not sell data to third parties and do not use the data for advertising purposes.

Who we share data with

Data is only shared with the systems you connect to your store yourself (for example an ERP system such as Exact or KatanaPIM), and with service providers who help us host and run the application. These parties may only use the data to provide the agreed service.

International data transfers

Made by Mouses is based in the Netherlands, and Shoprelay is operated from within the European Union. The hosting providers and service providers we use to run the application store and process data exclusively within the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA). We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. Should this change in the future, we will only transfer data to countries with an adequate level of protection or on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and we will update this policy accordingly.

Retention period

We retain data for as long as the app is actively installed in your Shopify store and for as long as necessary for synchronization with the connected system. When you remove the app, we delete the associated store data within 48 hours, in line with Shopify's requirements.

Your rights

As a store owner, or as a customer of a store that uses Shoprelay, you have the right to:

• Request access to the data stored about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").

Shopify enables us, via mandatory webhooks, to provide or delete customer data on request (customers/data_request and customers/redact), and to delete all store data after the app is uninstalled (shop/redact). To exercise these rights, please contact the store where you placed your order, or contact us directly via the email address below.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse, including encrypted connections and secure storage of access tokens.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
